1) You should never forget to wash your hands before removing contact lenses. If you do it in front of a sink, you should apply a clean paper towel to prevent the contact lens being fallen.
2) If you want to remove soft contact lenses, pull down on your lower eyelid looking up or to the sides.
3) Move the lens onto the white of your eye using a finger.
4) Take out lenses together with your index finger and thumb. Don’t touch lenses with fingernails not to have them scratched and your eyes damaged.
5) If you remove rigid contact lenses, you should hold out the palm of your hand, bend over and have your eye widely opened.
6) Pull on the skin of your eye's outside corner straight out in the movement to your ear having your eye widely open. Then you should blink.
7) Then you will have the contact lens into your open palm.
Lenses can be also removed with such devices as "plungers," bought at your eye doctor. Don’t touch your eye's surface with this device, because they can be damaged.
