 More than half of all wearers are women. To impress a strong part of humanity, men, additionally to contacts they use make-up. Nowadays almost everyone saw a great variety of variants how woman can change her appearance thanks to the cosmetics. But only a few, except those who wear lenses, know that getting a makeup in your eyes is especially annoying when you use contacts. Here are several rules for those who wear contacts and use makeup:
  • Before using your cosmetics put contacts in, and don’t forget to wash your hands so you can transfer neither oil nor cream;
  • When you wear lenses your eyes become very sensitive, that’s it would be better to use non-allergenic  makeup;
  • Water-based creams are better for your eyes than oil-based. Besides, try to use cream eye shadows in return of powder: there are less chances that eye shadows get in your eyes;
  • In case you prefer powder, keep your eyes closed while doing makeup. Before opening brush off the possible excess of powder;
  • Be careful with eyeliner: it should be put above eyelashes on the upper eyelid and below them on the lower eyelid;
  • Finally, before removing your makeup, wash your hands and first of all remove your contacts. After that you can use your makeup remover.

  How much time does it take to get used to new contact lenses if you have never worn them before?
- Well, it depends on your eyes, their sensitivity and a type of contact lenses you are going to wear. It may take from one day to several weeks. It happens that some people can’t adjust, but it’s very rare.

    Are contact lenses difficult to care for?
- Not at all, but it takes some time. The most convenient type of contacts in this case is a daily disposable lens, which you throw away after using. For other types of contacts you should have some cleaning solution, which your ophthalmologist will recommend you.

    Can a contact get lost behind my eye?
- Never. The worst thing, which may happen, is that your lens can hide under your eyelid. If you can’t get it ask your doctor for the help.

Do you think I'm old enough to wear contact lenses?
- It depends on your sense of responsibility. If you don’t forget to take the lenses off, to clean them and change in time, and if your parents and doctor don’t mind, you can try.
