| Eye Makeup and Contact Lenses | Makeup got in your eye can cause irritation. It is worse when the makeup sticks to the lenses. If you apply makeup, read carefully the following recommendations.
1) You should at first insert contact lenses, then use makeup. Never touch your contacts with unwashed hands. Be sure that no oils, creams, or lotions will get to the lenses.
2) Only non-allergenic makeup should be applied. Almay and Clinique provide a lot of eye-friendly products, other brands can also be used.
3) If you apply cream eye shadow, you have a fewer chances to have it got in your eye comparing with powder. It is much better to use water-based creams than oil-based ones.
4) If you use powder, you should your eyes during application. Excess powder should be removed; then you are allowed to open your eyes.
5) Eyeliner should not be used between your lashes and your eye. It should be used only on the area of your lashes located well away from your eye.
6) Before eye makeup removal, you should wash and dry your hands. If you want to remove your contacts, be sure that they do not contact with any makeup. At the end of procedure you can apply your eye makeup remover.
