Astigmatism
It’s a state of distorted vision at close distances caused by unusual shape of the cornea. The majority of people with astigmatism use glasses or toric contact lenses to improve their vision. GP contact lenses are used for fighting with some forms of this illness.

Bifocal
It’s one of the lenses types. It consists of two focal zones: one for near and one for distant vision.

Cleaning solution
It’s a special solution, which is used in the process of lenses cleaning and disinfecting. A couple of cleaning solution drops should be put to the lens surface and rubbed. The main designation of this solution is to loosen debris, which will be washed off later with the help of saline solution. 
 
Cornea
It’s the front tissue of the eye. It covers pupil and iris and passes the light through. As usual contact lenses cover the cornea.

Daily wear lenses
This type of lenses is worn during the day and is taken out for the night.

Disinfecting solution
It’s a substance, which prevents the reproduction and kills bad microorganisms. The cells of storage case should be filled with new disinfecting solution every time. After one cleans contact lenses they should be put into the storage case and filled with disinfecting solution.

Disposable contact lenses
This type of lenses designed for short-period of using (from couple of days to couple of weeks). After this period the lenses are replaced with new ones.

Dry eye syndrome
This illness happens when tears in the eyes is not enough for its moistening. One of the reasons of insufficient moistening may be quick evaporating of the tears because of environmental conditions (dry environment). People who wear contact lenses, people with allergies and computer operators are the categories of people who are exposed mostly to dry eye syndrome.
