It is quite easy to take care of disposable contact lenses and it does not demand much time. Some years ago lenses care was more expensive and demanded more time. Before buying any products necessary for lenses care it is important to consult an eye doctor, because some products are not compatible with each other or with certain contact lenses. One should follow guidelines for safe handling of soft contact lenses in order to prevent having serious fungal eye infections. It is advised to use contact lens multipurpose cleaning/disinfecting solutions that save your time and money.

There are some tips concerning proper lenses handling:

2. It is recommended to remove one lens and clean it with the solution being recommended. Cleaning  destroys eye-produced buildup, cosmetics and other debris that makes harm for lens comfort. There is a recommendation from FDA to rub the lens in the palm of your hand using some drops of solution; if you apply a "no-rub" product, the same procedure is also obligatory.

3. One should rinse the lens once more to take away the loosened debris, follow the recommended time for rinsing.

4. Then you should put the lens in your clean lens case or lens holder and cover it with fresh solution; you should not add a new solution above old one. The solution disinfects and kills microorganisms on the lens. The time obligatory for disinfection depends on the product; the necessary information is given on the package.

5. Do the points 2-4 for your other lens.
During contact lens wear some quantity of protein leaves on your contacts. Its quantity depends on the duration of time you wear lenses and the type of contact lenses. As long as you wear lenses before putting them off, as frequently you need cleaning them to get rid of protein. If you have disposables, you may not need a protein removal, because in a year you will have another pair of lenses. Protein can be removed with enzymatic cleaner and daily protein removal liquids.
