What causes astigmatism?
The shape of the front of your eye causes astigmatism. When it is more oval than round, the light cannot focus on the back of your eye in a proper way. The causes of this process are not clear enough yet. There are some variants why it happens: for example, because of incorrect posture or you use your eyes for close work without break for a long time and many others.
How common is astigmatism?
In fact a lot of people have some degree of astigmatism, but not everyone needs its correction. Only those whose level of astigmatism is really high need corrective contact lenses.
Can astigmatism be corrected?
