Avoiding Eye Infections
avoiding-infectionsIf you have to wear contacts, you might be exposed to different kinds of corneal infections. This is inescapable prospect because lenses lessen the amount of oxygen near the cornea (it’s the tissue, that covers pupil and iris). The lack of oxygen can lead to different infections progress.

That’s why it’s so essential to clean and disinfect your contact lenses every day. Read a few tips on how to look after your contacts:

1. Wash your hands carefully if you are going to handle your contacts.

2.
Be careful when using contact lens solutions. Although it’s very convenient, sometimes it’s dangerous to combine cleaning, disinfecting and storing functions in one solution. A couple of such combined products were excluded from the market some time ago because of health hazards (especially eye infections). Don’t use expired solutions or solutions, which lost its color. Wipe lenses gently with cleaning solution.

3. Wear contacts only in the daytime and take them off before you go to bad. It’s more possible to catch eyes infection if you wear your contacts for a long period time.

4. Ask your eye doctor how to care your lenses properly. It’s better to use sterile production, which is specially intended for your type of lenses.

5. Change your contact lenses set for a new one promptly. If your lenses (or one of it) make you feel uncomfortable or cause unusual perception, lenses specialist should check them. Don’t forget that you have warranty service.

6. It’s recommended to replace contact lens each 3-6 months. Change the solution in the case for its storage every time you disinfect lenses. You should empty the case and then refill it.
